Recap: AWESOME SAUCE inaugural celebration in Truro, NS!

On Saturday, July 22/17 AWESOME SAUCE had its inaugural celebration held at Saloni Tapis Grill in Truro, NS.

In true AWESOME SAUCE fashion, we were surrounded by delicious food prepared by chef Manny and our wonderful friends and clients.

We started with a lovely, zippy veggie samosa with a tasty apple based relish.

Next came a delicious fresh salad that was completely unlike any salads I make for myself or find out and about. Not including the tropical ingredients like papaya and dragon fruit, Chef Manny sources all his ingredients locally which is one of the reasons Jesse had to be reminded to eat slower and savor the dish. Hard to do when it is delicious!

Up next was a delicious squash soup topped with a variety of fresh veggies.

The main dish was then artfully presented and included an arrangement of fresh vegetables and chicken.

Rounding out this 5-course tasting dinner was a summery dessert filled with the freshest summer berries and a dollop of crème atop a moist cake base.

Hands down a great event filled with good food and friends. Consensus was that Chef Manny prepared and brilliantly presented an outstanding 5 course meal that would convert anyone curious about trying Bangladeshi cuisine. At $30 per person, the value of this meal was unparalleled.
